About the Blog & YouTube Channel
Chef’s Apprentice is your go-to destination for culinary inspiration. My YouTube channel offers step-by-step recipes, which I call lessons, in-depth cooking guides, and behind-the-scenes looks at kitchen techniques. Whether you’re a home cook or established chef, you’ll find practical tips and creative ideas.
This website is the home of my food blog, which covers all things culinary, including food, wine, and sake-related travel, a photo gallery of my YouTube lessons, and resources, such as a “Culinary Glossary” and the “Well-Equipped Kitchen List”, with links to buy the products.
My YouTube channel offers the “Learning to Cook Like a Pro” course, starting very easy and ending very difficult, in 104 lessons. My hundreds of videos are organized into playlists, such as Classics, French Faves (including my Julia+ series, where I make dishes of the famous Julia Child, with my own plus), Impress Your Date, Italian Faves, Japanese Faves (including lessons based on Japanese TV shows, like Midnight Diner), Pig on a Plate, Richard Tribute (where I make and modify the dishes of the late, great Michel Richard), Sauces to Die For, Smoked Stuff, and Spain on a Small Plate.
I may earn a commission on items you buy from links on this site, but they cost you nothing more. In some cases, you may get a discount for ordering through the links. I only promote and review quality products that I believe in.
